This year, we are making three significant changes to our Demo Day: It will be a two day event instead of one, it will take place two weeks before Memorial Day instead of one, and the venue will be our river lot instead of the pond.
Our 2010 Demo Day(s) will be held on Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16, from noon to 5p.m. We moved ahead by one week on the calendar to lessen conflicts with other events. We hope that the two day event provides more convenience for all participants and, so far, the participating manufacturers representatives are enthusiastic about the expanded event.
Our river lot is located at the north end of Marysville on the Susquehanna River, a short distance downstream of the Dauphin Narrows. Parking will be at our shop and we will be running shuttle vans. Participants will park at our store, sign up to participate, and then catch a van ride to and from the lot. The lot will provide two big improvements over the pond: moving water and deeper water. In the immediate vicinity, the river forms a large, unobstructed pool with mild currents, but if anyone has a problem, we will have safety boats on patrol.
So, come on out and test paddle a wide assortment of canoes and kayaks, learn what you can from the boat manufacturing representatives, catch up with your fellow paddlers, and have fun! Boats and gear will be on sale for Demo Days, just in time for the paddling season!
